AFGHANISTAN

My journey through Afghanistan was shaped by the generosity, openness and warmth of its people and the richness of Persian cultural traditions. I sketched extensively across the country, drawing architecture, landscapes, and everyday life directly on location. In Kabul, I visited a girls art school where I shared my experience as an artist and discovered the students` remarkable drawings. The journey culminated in the exhibitio Reveil: paysage Afgan at Mili Gallery in Kabul, later travelling to India as The Afghan Jornal

Along the way, I often drew the faces of strangers I met. We did not share many words, but the act of drawing created a deep connection. Through their faces I began to understand Afghanistan in a more human way, exchanging stories, tea and memories. These drawings became bridges between cultures and moments frozen in time.
