MY HOMETOWN
Mauritius exists for me between movement and stillness—between the impulse to travel and the desire to remain. Returning after journeys elsewhere, I find myself sketching whenever possible, often along the harbour in Port Louis, on the island’s beaches, or within familiar cafés and bars. Despite its scale, Mauritius offers a density of experience that continues to unfold. There is a quiet urgency in observing and recording these spaces before they shift or disappear. My works here are intimate and immediate, shaped by repetition and return—capturing fragments of a place that is both home and continually rediscovered.
